Terms of Use

In short: Kwyper is a free car website. You can read it, link to it and quote a short passage with credit. You cannot copy it wholesale, scrape it or feed it to an AI model without asking us. Our articles are journalism, not professional advice, so check anything that matters with the manufacturer, the dealer or a qualified mechanic before you act on it.

Effective date: 16 September 2026

Accepting these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Ranqueei Digital LTDA, CNPJ nº 54.823.192/0001-65, of R. Adelino Cardana, 293, Sala 603, Bloco C, Bethaville I / Centro, Barueri/SP, CEP 06401-147, Brazil, the company that publishes Kwyper.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure are part of this agreement.

Who may use the site

Anyone can read Kwyper. To send us a message or leave a comment you must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if that is higher. We do not sell anything, we do not take payments and there is no reader account to create.

Our content is information, not advice

Everything on Kwyper is editorial journalism written for a general audience. It is not professional, legal, financial, insurance, tax or mechanical advice, and reading it does not create any professional relationship between us.

That matters more with cars than with most subjects. Prices, taxes, grants, warranty terms, ranges, charging speeds, trim levels and even model names differ between the United States, the United Kingdom and each country in Europe, and they change without notice. A figure that was right when we published it can be wrong a month later. Before you spend money or turn a spanner, confirm it with the manufacturer, an official dealer, the relevant government body or a qualified mechanic. Our Disclaimer goes into this in more detail.

Who owns what

The articles, headlines, page design, logo and the arrangement of the site belong to Ranqueei Digital LTDA or to the people who licensed them to us. They are protected by copyright and trade mark law in Brazil, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and elsewhere.

Many of our photographs are not ours. They come from manufacturer press material, from photographers, from stock libraries such as Unsplash and Pexels, or from images published under a Creative Commons licence. Each one is credited where the licence requires it, and each one stays under its own licence terms. A credit under a photograph is not permission to reuse it. If you want an image, go to the source we credited. If you think we have used your work wrongly, our Copyright and DMCA page explains how to tell us.

Car makers’ names, model names and logos belong to those companies. We use them to say which car we are writing about. That is not a claim of ownership and it does not mean any manufacturer endorses us.

What you may do with our content

You may read the site, print a page for yourself, share a link anywhere you like, and quote a short passage in your own work as long as you name Kwyper and link back to the article you took it from. That is ordinary fair use and fair dealing, and we welcome it.

What you may not do

  • Republish an article in full, or a substantial part of one, on another site, in an app, in a newsletter or in print without our written permission.
  • Scrape, crawl or harvest the site with automated tools beyond what a normal search engine does, or make bulk automated requests that put load on our server.
  • Use our content to train, fine-tune or ground a machine learning or generative AI model, or to build a dataset for anyone who does. We expressly reserve our rights against text and data mining, including the reservation allowed by Article 4(3) of EU Directive 2019/790. If you want a licence for this, write to us.
  • Remove or alter a credit, a byline or a copyright notice, or present our work as your own.
  • Try to break into any part of the site, interfere with how it runs, or upload anything designed to cause damage.
  • Use the site for anything illegal, or in a way that infringes somebody else’s rights.

Comments and anything else you send us

You keep ownership of what you write in a comment or send us as a tip. By posting it you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to publish, store, display and archive it on Kwyper and to quote it when we promote the article. You confirm that the words are yours to give and that they do not infringe anyone else’s rights.

We moderate. We can edit, refuse or delete a comment, and we delete anything abusive, hateful, defamatory, off topic, illegal, spam or posted only to promote a product. Comments are the opinion of whoever wrote them, not ours. We do not check every comment before it appears, but once we know about a problem we deal with it. If you want your own comment removed, email us and we will take it down.

If you send us an unsolicited story idea, we do not promise to use it, to keep it confidential or to pay for it, unless we agree that with you in writing first.

Links to other sites, and affiliate links

We link to manufacturers, regulators, other publications and shops. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for what they publish or do with your data, and a link is not an endorsement. Their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave us.

Some links can be affiliate links, which pay us a commission if you buy after clicking. They never change the price you pay and they never buy a better write-up. Every one is labelled in the article. The full explanation is on our Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure page.

What we promise, and what we do not

Please read this section carefully. It limits what you can claim from us.

Kwyper is supplied as it is. We work hard to be accurate and we correct errors when we find them, but we do not guarantee that every fact, figure or price is correct, current or complete, and we do not guarantee that the site will always be available or free of faults. We give no warranties beyond those the law gives you and cannot exclude.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss you suffer because you relied on something you read here, for a decision you made about buying, selling, modifying or repairing a vehicle, or for indirect losses such as lost profit, lost time or lost data. Where we are liable for something we cannot exclude, our total liability to you is limited to 1,000 Brazilian reais, which reflects the fact that you pay nothing to read the site.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law says cannot be excluded. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Brazil, you keep every right your national consumer law gives you, and nothing here takes those rights away.

Law and where a dispute is heard

These terms are governed by Brazilian law, and the courts of Barueri, São Paulo, Brazil have jurisdiction over any dispute with us.

That clause does not override consumer protection. If you are a consumer living in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you still have the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. Consumers in the United Kingdom and in Brazil keep the equivalent rights under their own law. The European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform used to be named in terms like these. It closed on 20 July 2025 and there is no replacement, so European consumers should use their national alternative dispute resolution body or the European Consumer Centres Network instead.

Changes, and the rest

We can change these terms. When we do, we change the effective date at the top, and a change that materially affects you will be flagged on the page rather than slipped in quietly. Carrying on using the site after a change means you accept the new version.

We can change, pause or stop publishing any part of Kwyper at any time. If a court decides one of these clauses cannot be enforced, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
