About Kwyper

In short: Kwyper is an English-language car website published by a small Brazilian company, Ranqueei Digital LTDA. We cover new cars, buying advice and motorsport for readers in the United States and Europe. This page explains who we are, how we pay for the site, how our articles are made, and what we will not do.

What Kwyper covers

Kwyper writes about cars for people who are choosing one, running one, or following the sport. Our coverage falls into four areas:

  • News. Model launches, pricing, recalls, regulation and the electric transition in the US and Europe.
  • Reviews. What a car is actually like to live with, and what it competes against.
  • Buying guides. Comparisons, running costs, used-car advice and help reading a spec sheet.
  • Formula 1 and motorsport. Race weekends, technical rule changes, driver moves and championship maths.

We write for two audiences at once, which shapes how we work. A price, a tax break or a model name often differs between the US and Europe, so we say which market a figure applies to instead of assuming one.

We are a small independent publisher. We are not owned by a car maker, a dealer group, a racing team or an advertising network, and no outside party has a say in what we publish.

How Kwyper makes money

Kwyper is free to read and we do not sell subscriptions. The site is funded by two things: display advertising served by third-party ad networks, and affiliate links, which pay us a commission when a reader buys something after clicking. The commission comes out of the seller’s margin and never adds anything to your price.

To be straight with you about where we are right now: as of the date at the bottom of this page, no advertising is running on Kwyper and our articles carry no affiliate links. When that changes, every affiliate link will be labelled in the article that contains it and the Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure page will be updated to match.

What we do not do

  • We do not accept payment for a review, a recommendation or a place in a ranking.
  • We do not publish sponsored articles without labelling them as sponsored at the top of the page.
  • We do not let advertisers or affiliate partners read, approve or change an article before it is published.
  • We do not sell links inside our articles, and we do not publish guest posts written to promote a business.

How our articles are made

Kwyper uses AI tools as part of its production process, and we would rather tell you that than let you guess. AI helps us with research, with first drafts and with routine work such as turning a manufacturer’s spec table into readable text.

What a human always does: sets the angle of the piece, checks every fact and figure against a primary source such as a manufacturer press release, a regulator or an official results sheet, edits the text, and takes responsibility for what is published. We do not use AI to invent quotes, test results, driving impressions or photographs. Our images are real photographs and each one is credited to its source. The full rules are in our Editorial Policy.

When we get something wrong

We will. Car specifications change, prices move and results get amended after a race. When we make a material error we fix it and add a dated note at the bottom of the article saying what was wrong. If you have spotted one, tell us through the Corrections Policy page or the Contact form and we will look at it.
